In that line ladies and gentlemen we see the true Chris.The broken man who lost all of his family.He doesn’t care if he is going to die or not.He thought that helping Scott would help him fill the void but it didn’t.He has nothing to live for.He never wanted to admit that to himself.He wanted to keep struggling to find a reason to keep living.Because that’s what his wife and Allison would want him to do.Now that he is so close to death he doesn’t have to pretend anymore.He has nothing left.Nothing left to fight for.
